Toronto Chinatown BIA welcomes in the Year of the Tiger with 2022 Lunar New Year Celebrations, both virtually and in person. This year’s festivities feature a keepsake video along with a live Lion Dance outdoor performance by the Chinese Freemasons Association in front of Chinatown Centre. The intention is to chase away the bad spirits and negativity of the last year and to welcome a brand new year.

You can also celebrate this year’s Lunar New Year virtually with the 2022 Lunar New Year Keepsake Video. The weblink will be posted on the Toronto Chinatown BIA website. It includes New Year greetings, footage of the lion dance, Lunar New Year ritual demonstrations, a Shaolin kung fu performance and more!

Furthermore, the Yue Moon: Tiger With Wings public art program lanterns are currently on display. They are located at the second entrance of Dragon City Mall (519 Dundas Street West) until February 28. Learn more through our article here.
