Earl Bales Ski & Snowboard Centre (open January 2024)
The City of Toronto manages this small centre that is a great place to learn and practice locally. Lessons are available on a beginner hill with rope tow and a main hill with two runs and one race hill, which is accessible by four-person chairlift, plus there’s an accessible ski chalet at the top of the main hill.

Blue Mountain Resort
Located 90 minutes north of Toronto, Blue Mountain is the largest ski hill in the province, with an elevation of 720 feet and
364 skiable acres! With 43 named trails and 30 lit night trails, you can check the Mountain Report for updates before you head out.

Hockley Valley Resort
Forty-five minutes north of Toronto, this luxury resort features 15 scenic ski and snowboard runs for all levels, including an upper and lower freestyle terrain park.

Horseshoe Resort
The closest major hill to Toronto, Horseshoe is a fun winter destination for families living in the GTA! There are 29 runs, a terrain park and Ontario’s longest beginner carpet, with something to suit all levels.

Mount St. Louis Moonstone
This is a great family-owned ski resort near Barrie with 36 slopes over 170 skiable acres, nine lifts and three carpets. They also have a snowboard park and a small lodge.

Snow Valley
Touted as “Ontario’s favourite family resort”, this family-owned ski centre focuses is a great place for beginners to learn skiing and/or snowboarding with 20 runs and three lifts.

Brimacombe
This hill has something for everyone with 22 runs, two terrain parks, four quad chairs, three T-bars, two chalets and a magic carpet. Night skiing is available on 11 runs.

Dagmar Ski Resort
Dagmar features a Learn to Ski Kids Corral, two magic carpets, four chairlifts, 18 runs and the largest terrain park in the Durham Region.

This popular resort offers a wide range of trails for both ski and snowboard options, including 22 runs and terrain parks spread over 70 acres.

Glen Eden Ski & Snowboard Centre
A small resort in the beautiful Niagara Escarpment in Milton, Glen Eden features six lifts, 16 slopes and terrain park runs.

Alpine Ski Club
Located in the Blue Mountains area of Collingwood, this membership-run club offers the most trails of private ski clubs in the area, enough to suit every ability level from first-time skiers to seasoned experts.

Craigleith Ski Club
Members of this club between Blue Mountain Resort and Alpine Ski Club enjoy 32 trails that range from easy to expert, with six chairlifts, plus the Funnel Terrain Park and an SBX course constructed mid-winter.

Devil’s Glen Country Club
Devil’s Glen is an upscale members-only hill, just 90 minutes from downtown Toronto. It includes both snow programs and a terrain park.

Georgian Peaks Club
Set aside from the Blue Mountain complex and with a beautiful view of Georgian Bay, this smaller hill allows for a more intimate experience for members, but with the highest elevation in the area.

Mansfield Ski Club
This membership club 80 kilometres northwest of Toronto features 17 beautiful slopes, seven lifts, freestyle terrain and exciting off-snow experiences.

Osler Bluff Ski Club
Osler Bluff has one of the highest ski hills in Ontario with a vertical drop of 755 feet. Members ski on 20 runs spread over 130 acres, plus a terrain park and pipe.

Toronto Ski Club
Located just beside Blue Mountain Resort, this club has been in operation since 1924, providing excellent alpine winter sport programs to their members and guests.
