Just because summer is coming to a close, that doesn’t mean kids and adults can’t continue to develop their tennis game! Part of ACE Tennis Academy’s network of locations, Canada’s #1 school for junior players, Toronto Tennis City provides both Skills Development and Competitive programs during the fall and winter season.
Located in the heart of Midtown Toronto in the Eglinton-Davisville area, not only does Toronto Tennis City offer fun Fall programs that serve an ace, but it’s one of the few tennis clubs in the GTA that has memberships available for the whole family! This charming club provides its members with year-round access to their highly coveted red Italian clay courts, a charming clubhouse, state-of-the-art LED lighting and a complimentary REPLAY video analysis system, as well as a bubble roof in the colder months.

ACE at Toronto Tennis City — Skills Development Stream
Along with adult and high-performance programming, Toronto Tennis City teaches children the basics of tennis through their progressive lessons.
Progressive 1 (Ages 4-8)
This first level of progressive tennis is available eight times per week. Students use larger decompressed balls to allow for easier exchanges, 19-21″ racquets for better control, and smaller courts and nets.
When: Monday, Wednesday or Friday 4:00-5:00pm, Tuesday or Thursday 6:30-7:30pm, Saturday 12:30-1:30pm, Sunday 11:30- 12:30pm and 12:30-1:30pm
Progressive 2 (Ages 8-10)
The second level of progressive tennis uses a normal-sized tennis ball but with 50% less compression than a regular ball, which allows players to acquire the required skills at this stage of development. Players can sign up for one or two classes per week.
When: Saturday or Sunday 1:30-3:00pm, Tuesday or Thursday 4:00-5:00pm
Progressive 3 (Ages 10-13)
The third level of progressive tennis uses a normal-sized tennis ball but with 25% less compression. Players also graduate to a 26-27″ racquet and a full-sized tennis court.
When: Friday 7:00-8:30pm, Saturday 3:00-4:30pm, Sunday 3:00-4:30pm
Competitive Aces / High School Team (Ages 10-17)
Players who can maintain a rally on a full-sized tennis court with regular balls can join this program, including match play.
When: Friday 6:30-8:30pm, Saturday 4:30-6:30pm, Sunday 4:30-6:30pm
ACE at Toronto Tennis City — Competitive Stream
The Toronto Tennis City competitive stream begins with the Mini Tennis/Little Aces Team, which prepares young players for competitive play. Students then graduate to the Futures Team program to get their first tournament experience and continue as dedicated players in subsequent levels.
Mini Tennis Team & Little Aces Team (Birth Year: 2016-2017)
The Little Aces & Mini Tennis Teams continue teaching the fundamentals of tennis to players who can rally with a coach over the net. Players are eligible for Tennis Canada’s Little Aces benefit package as well.
When: Mini Tennis: Monday, Wednesday or Friday 5:00-6:30pm. Little Aces: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5:00-6:30pm
Futures Team (Birth Year: 2014-2015)
The Futures Team transitions players from the Little Aces/Mini Tennis Team to begin competing in tournaments. Players must participate in the program at least three times per week.
When: Monday–Friday: 5:00-7:00pm, Saturday 7:00-9:00pm, Sunday 3:30-5:30pm
Champions Team (Birth Year: 2013-2014)
The Champions Team lets participants acquire the skills and tactics for full-court (green ball) high-performance and tournament tennis. Players must participate in the program at least three times per week.
When: Monday-Friday 5:00-7:00pm, Saturday 7:00-9:00am, Sunday: 5:00-7:00pm
U12 Provincial Team (Birth Year: 2011-2012)
The U12 Provincial Team includes committed U12 players transitioning from the Champions team [green dot] and competing in OTA U12 tournaments. Players must participate in the program at least three times per week.
When: Tuesday, Thursday 5:00-7:00pm, Sunday 7:00-9:30am
Provincial/National Team (Ages 12-16)
This team is for committed U12-U18 players who compete at a Provincial or National level. Players must participate in the program 3-5 times per week.
When: Monday-Friday 3:30-6:30pm, Sunday 7:00-9:30am
International Team
The International Team is perfect for players who want to train in the morning only, or in addition to the Provincial/National Team program. Players have the opportunity to meet the Tennis Canada Long-Term Athlete Development Plan Guidelines to help them develop into National and International level players.
When: Monday-Friday: 6:00-8:00am
U9-U10 Competitive Training and Match Play
OTA orange and green court players not registered in the full-time academy can join this program.
When: Saturday 7:00-9:00am
U12–U18 Competitive Training and Match Play
OTA players not registered in the full-time academy can join this program.
When: Sunday 7:00-9:30am
