The Ashkenaz Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious showcases of Jewish music and culture in the world, and for the first time this summer, presents a FREE concert series to North Toronto. Each of the concerts pairs a Jewish roots artist with an act paying tribute to one of three iconic “jambands”: The Band, The Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers Band, with Andalusian soul, Jewish bluegrass and Yiddish funk mingling with psychedelia, southern rock, and Americana.
