Within walking distance of public transit and Yonge and Bloor streets in the residential neighbourhood of Rosedale, Branksome Hall Day Camps offer many exciting co-ed programs this summer at their picturesque 13-acre campus in the heart of downtown Toronto. They host a wide variety of camp options for all genders in four categories: Arts, Sports, STEM and Swim Camps. Even better, recreational swimming is incorporated in all arts, sports and STEM camps as well!
Campers between the ages of four to twelve can enjoy exploring Branksome Hall’s state-of-the-art facilities, such as their beautiful award-winning Athletics and Wellness Centre, which features two saltwater pools, a rooftop garden, a well-equipped gymnasium, a high-performance fitness centre and specialized dance and yoga studios. It also houses a dining hall where campers are served a daily hot lunch as part of the day camp packages. Furthermore, the Branksome Hall campus also has four tennis courts, two additional gyms, a soccer field, a baseball diamond and age-appropriate playgrounds for all campers.
Branksome Hall Day Camps — Programs
Each camp day also combines camp-style activities with outdoor play aimed at engaging the campers’ imagination and creativity. Along with their well-attended sports and arts camps, Branksome Hall is introducing new programs this year to encourage kids to express themselves and explore their environment!
Mini Eco-Explorers (Ages 4-5)
Does your 4/5-year-old love to be outside to enjoy nature? The new Mini Eco-Explorers Camp is perfect for any kid interested in geography and eco-activities! This camp is all about discovery through active play, hands-on exploration and eco-art activities, plus daily camp-style games and activities. As Branksome Hall is located near Toronto’s fascinating ravine system, campers can spend lots of time outside in their gorgeous woodlot, which serves as an outdoor classroom in which to learn about our city’s natural environment.
Mini Globe Trotters (Ages 4-5)
For those who love to travel, Mini Globe Trotters Camp takes campers on an adventure around the world without leaving the Branksome campus! Kids learn about different cultures through craft, food and language as well as sharing each other’s traditions to encourage inclusivity among the campers. This camp includes playing games and sports-inspired activities found around the world.
LEGO Robotics (Ages 10-12)
If your child loves robotics and LEGO, they will definitely love building and programming their own LEGO robots! Using an iPad and the LEGO Boost app, campers use cooperative teamwork skills to build a working LEGO robot. Throughout the week, campers will develop practical STEM skills and foster their creativity. By the end of the week, they’ll even be playing with their creations through challenges, races and mini-competitions!
Theatre (Ages 10-12)
The play’s the thing! This camp allows tweens to become budding thespians and develop their dramatic talents through improvisation, role-playing, storytelling and character development, along with a wide range of theatre games and activities. Participants can also contribute backstage, designing and building the set, working on props and costumes, and working together to mount the final production at the end of the two-week session.
Aquatic Sport (Ages 10-12)
In Aquatic Sport Camp, participants learn the basics of different aquatic activities such as water polo and aqua fitness, along with first aid and junior lifesaving skills. Each day includes a morning and afternoon time block in our Athletic and Wellness Centre’s saltwater pools, plus a variety of on-land camp-style programming. Campers also participate in physical fitness activities led by Branksome’s Athletic Therapist, since developing strength and stamina outside the pool is a key component to staying active in the water!
