Shakespeare in Action, Ontario’s leading Shakespeare education company for young audiences, presents “The Snow Queen” for two performances only. The show is performed by Shakespeare in Action’s Act NOW! participants (ages 7-11). They have been hard at work for eight weeks to prepare this wonderful story, working on their acting skills while still having tons of fun. You won’t want to miss this family-friendly tale of friendship, adventure and finding yourself – and it’s right in time for the holiday season!
The play is adapted from the famous original story by Hans Christian Andersen. A little girl named Gerda searches for her friend Kai when he is bewitched and imprisoned by the Snow Queen in her ice palace. Gerda enlists the help of some very interesting characters along her journey in order for good to conquer evil.
Note: Proof of full vaccination (two doses plus 14 days) is required for attendance by all patrons, artists and staff over the age of 11 at the Artscape Weston. Masks must be worn at all times in the theatre and kept on for the full duration of the performance.
