Once summer is over, there’s no need to stop having fun and being active, because at Toronto Circus Centre (TCC), the circus fun continues all year! Aspiring acrobats can run away with the circus instead, in action-packed performance classes in their Fall / Winter Session.

No doubt, you will be amazed by the amazing feats your kids will learn in their time spent hanging out under the big top at Toronto Circus Centre. For example, they can learn about circus props, acrobatics, aerial hoop, silks, and lots more! Plus, from tiny tots to talented teenagers, they stay occupied and engaged while being creative in a fun and supportive environment.

What Types of Classes are Offered in the Toronto Circus Centre’s Fall / Winter Session?

Toronto Circus Centre encourages its stars-in-training to have fun under the big top! Whether your circus fan is an active toddler, busy kid or an experienced teen, they can step right up with TCC’s lessons this Fall. Held in a well-equipped gym in Leaside, participants spend their time tumbling, swinging, climbing, juggling, and even just clowning around!

TCC offers families a level for every age and ability, ensuring that all participants try every type of activity and apparatus to discover their many special talents. TCC’s experienced coaches guide the young circus artists as they learn aerials, juggling, floor acrobatics, and more. In this non-competitive setting, the kids learn cooperation and leadership, expand their performance skills and develop confidence.

Kids’ Classes

  • Circus Tots (Ages 2-3)
    Do your little ones want to jump, swing, twirl and tumble this Fall? At this weekly Parent/Guardian & Tot Fall / Winter program, they get to discover all the joys of the circus, with you at their side! Explore elements of the circus, including aerial and ground circus acrobatics, and discover fundamental movement and physical skills through play. Not only is it a magical bonding experience for families, but it’s also lots of fun!
  • Kinder Cirque (Ages 4-5)
    Kindergarten-aged kids can develop their coordination and confidence on the ground and in the air at TCC’s Kinder Cirque classes! The young troupe members get to tackle more acrobatic feats in the fun lessons, including jumping, balancing, and playing. Each weekly class delivers games, giggles, and of course, lots of circus magic!
  • Circus Kids (Ages 6-11)
    At this level, the growing performers continue their lessons in a positive environment to increase their strength, flexibility, coordination, confidence and creativity. Apparatuses include juggling, floor and partner acrobatics, aerial trapeze, hoop, rope and silks. Then, the class invites their families to a special circus show at the end of the session — don’t miss it!
  • Circus Fitness (Ages 10+)
    For young people who are looking for a new and exciting way to stay in shape, don’t just get fit at TCC, they get “Circus-Fit”! Here, kids can get into tip-top (and big-top!) shape using various kinds of circus equipment, while also discovering new talents. Plus, participants can learn how to do a handstand! Previous circus experience is not required, and everyone is welcome.
  • Teen Circus (Ages 11-17)
    Do your teens want to soar to new heights this Fall? Whether they are beginners, wish to continue their circus studies, or are cross-training for other sports, this class can help them stay in shape and hang out with new friends in a fun environment! Ideal for active people, the Teen Circus program can also help teens focus on one or more apparatus, such as trapeze, hoop, rope and silks.
  • Youth Performance Troupe (Ages 10+)
    Experienced older students with professional stage aspirations can join a more intense circus training regimen at the Toronto Circus Centre Fall / Winter Session. TCC’s expert coaches give each performer receive personalized instruction to help hone their skills. Then, while they focus on their individual acts, the participants also work together to create an exhilarating finale show.
  • Intensive Programs (Ages 10+)
    Toronto Circus Centre also offers classes for experienced students who are taking an additional TCC class and want more intense training in specific performance areas. These include Aerial Silks Intensive , Aerial Hoop Intensive, Aerial Rope Intensive, Aerial Sway Pole Intensive and Contortion/Circus Flexibility, where the performers learn from professional circus artists and experienced coaches. (Students may need to meet skill requirements to qualify for some classes.)
