Calling all young adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts! Scouts Canada’s Camp Adventureland offers all youth aged 6-16 the chance to have an unforgettable week of outdoor adventure, packed with excitement and friendship. With traditional Overnight, Day Camp and Leadership-in-Training programs, young people can learn, explore, meet new friends and make life-long memories.
At this fully-equipped summer camp, participants can join a week of day camp fun, where campers go home each night or stay for a week of adventure, staying in tents or cabins for the whole week. Best of all, Camp Adventureland is centrally located in the Whitchurch-Stouffville area, near Markham, Aurora and Newmarket, north of the GTA and just off Highway 404!
Camp Adventureland — Programs
Whether your child is an experienced camper or they are looking for a new and unforgettable adventure, everyone is welcome at Camp Adventureland! Providing the very best summer camp experience in the GTA since 1970, Camp Adventureland operates out of the Woodland Trails camp in Stouffville, where kids and teens can take a journey into the great outdoors!
Naturally, since it is a Scouts Canada camp, families can rest assured that Camp Adventureland consistently delivers an inclusive, safe, and fun experience for all campers. Their senior team consists of several teachers, social workers and educational assistants. Furthermore, the trained staff follows all safety protocols to ensure a secure and healthy environment.
Three separate traditional programs take place — Day Camp, Overnight, and LIT — with new fun weekly themes throughout the summer! The dedicated team of camp counsellors and instructors lead the campers through the many exciting activities and adventures during both daytime and sleep-away week-long camp experiences. The kids learn lots of new skills, from archery to survival skills and outdoor cooking, all while learning valuable life lessons like resiliency and confidence. Meanwhile, they get plenty of fresh air, make new friends, and have a blast!

- Week 8 — August 19-23: Harry Potter
Program Activities
- Sports: Ball Hockey, Badminton, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Bouldering (Climbing) Wall, Disc Golf, Mountain Biking, Pickle Ball, Tennis
- Water Sports: Swimming in the Olympic-sized pool (with certified lifeguards)
- Outdoor Activities: Archery, Bouldering Wall, Bubble Soccer, Laser Tag, Obstacle Course
- Outdoor Education: Ecology, Outdoor Survival, Trapping and Logging, Star Hikes, Trail Hikes
- Arts and Crafts: Community Gardening, Wood Working
Camp Adventureland — Day Camps (Ages 6-12)
Camp Adventureland offers weekly Day Camps for youth summer every week from Monday to Friday. These programs provide youth with a variety of interactive, engaging outdoor activities, and it’s the ideal spot for your child to meet like-minded people who share their passion for exploration.
Camp Adventureland’s Day Camp Program gives kids a fun and memorable summer, brimming with new experiences and activities that promote teamwork and adventure. The programs focus on having fun outdoors, including great on-site amenities, such as swimming in the Olympic-sized pool, soccer, basketball, mountain biking, archery, trail hikes, and much more!
Camp Adventureland — Overnight Camps (Ages 8-12)
The Camp Adventureland Overnight Camps run through the summer for youth aged 8-12. In these programs, the campers participate in the day camp activities, then learn how to cook outdoors and participate in extra nightly activities. These special events include movies under the stars, fireside stories, and much more.
These weeklong programs run from Monday morning and end on Friday afternoon, with all food and snacks provided. The campers stay in groups of 20-25 kids close to their own age. Campers spend the week in the village accommodations known as “Tabins”. They can be paired with friends upon request as well!
Adventureland Leadership-In-Training Program (Ages 12-16)
At Camp Adventureland’s Leadership In Training (LIT) Program, teens can spread their wings and become well-rounded leaders better prepared for success! The program provides adolescents from 12-16 years with numerous opportunities for personal and professional development while having fun in an inclusive and supportive environment.
The LIT program combines outdoor adventure with personal growth and community building. The team organizers strive to excite and challenge the youth to better themselves. At the same time, the participants learn teamwork and responsibility, which all help them become confident and well-rounded individuals.
