Jumpstart Community Pitch
Date: All Summer
The very first Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities Community Soccer Pitch is opening at Harbourfront Centre, offering soccer fans a new accessible pitch for kids and families to come together through play along the waterfront. Booking for the Jumpstart Community Pitch officially begins on June 10, with a first-come, first-play warm-up period beforehand.

Building Black AMORPHIA: Spiritual Starships
Date: Continuing until August 31, 2026
In this free exhibition, check out artworks by Ekow Nimako, a Ghanaian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist and LEGO® sculptor.
This series features LEGO® creations that piece together elements of West African mask-making traditions, science fiction, geometric figures and interstellar vessels.

The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery: Colourful Parachutes: Imagining Alternative Futures Through the Power of Play
Date: Continuing until September 7, 2026
With children as its primary audience, this free exhibition questions how we make, present, and experience contemporary art, with the aim of turning the gallery into a giant adventure playground.

Luminato Festival

Toronto International Dragon Boat Festival

The Toronto International Dragon Boat Festival welcomes boat racing teams to the Toronto Islands, plus music and cultural performances.

Summer Music in the Garden
Date: June 21 — August 27, 2026
Enjoy the intimate live music experience of Summer Music in the Garden at the Toronto Music Garden by the waterfront. The program features 18 free performances by both JUNO Award-winning Canadian musicians and celebrated local artists.

Canada Day
Date: July 1, 2026
Celebrate our country’s special day on the waterfront with a lineup of free music, an outdoor marketplace with 100% Canadian-made goods, and more live performances.

Fun Philippines Toronto Food & Music Festival
Date: July 3-5, 2026
Fun Philippines Toronto Food & Music Festival is a three-day festival showcasing the best of Filipino culture with street food, music, culture and public art highlighting Filipino artists and cultural groups from Canada and the Philippines.

Free Flicks
Date: July 14 – September 1, 2026
See free outdoor film screenings by the lake all summer, ranging from feel-good music films and iconic musicals. (Note: Seating will not be available on site this year, so be sure to bring along a chair or picnic blanket.)

Dancing on the Square
