Basecamp Climbing Summer Camps
Basecamp Climbing’s summer camps at their Queen West location will keep your kids engaged all day long, stimulating them physically, mentally and creatively. Participants keep busy throughout the week with a schedule filled with climbing, outdoor activities, arts and crafts and more. Furthermore, programs adapt to the weather conditions, time of day and the group’s energy levels so that all participants get the most out of each day.
Additionally, the kids get outdoors every day with activities including trips to nearby parks and pools, water games, orienteering as well as team-based games. Basecamp Climbing also fills out the week with a variety of arts and crafts activities that activate the imagination and foster a deeper connection between participants.
As for the climbing portions, these camps are suitable for both new and experienced climbers, and the instructor adapt lessons to each skill level. Climbing activities include warm-ups, rock climbing and bouldering. Campers also learn about the techniques and skills necessary to complete these climbs safely. Throughout the lessons, counsellors fully engage with the campers to keep them motivated, challenged and supported.
Along with indoor climbing, campers get challenged with fun obstacle courses and team-building exercises. Each day at camp is filled with new experiences and great opportunities to develop lasting friendships.
