Walt Disney once said, “Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever”.

This summer, sign your kids up for a week of laughter with Stand Up for Student Well-Being camps. Promoting laughter and well-being among students with their various programs featuring stand-up and improv led by industry comedian coaches, Stand UP for Student Well-Being focuses on healthy humour as a character strength, encouraging youth to find joy in difficult times while discouraging hurtful humour. Their lineup of Summer Camps channels kids’ humour to help participants discover and embrace self-expression over their five-day comedy camps.

Laugh More! Worry Less is a camp for kids aged 10 to 16. Unleash your child’s voice at this five-day Stand-Up Comedy Camp, designed to foster self-expression through engaging activities, improv exercises, and expert guidance from trained coaches. Each camper will be able to develop and showcase a unique stand-up comedy routine, providing them with a platform to explore their creativity and hone their performance skills. To top off the week, camps feature a showcase on the last day of camp so families can enjoy watching the kids make their stand-up comedy debut.

Stand UP for Student Well-Being is a registered charitable organization that endeavours to be accessible to all. Families experiencing tight budgets or other financial hardships can apply for the bursary program for financial assistance. Plus, the Red Sand Castle Theatre is located in the Leslieville neighbourhood, east of the Don River and is easily accessible by public transit.

A day without laughter is wasted, according to Charlie Chaplin, so sign your child up for unlimited laughter!
