The Alberta Free Family Fishing Weekends are the perfect time to get hooked on fishing! These weekends take place twice a year (on the Family Day long weekend in February and one weekend in July) and allow Albertans and visitors alike to fish without a license. Keep in mind that all other fishing regulations still apply, waterbodies in national parks are not included, and the stream/river/lake you choose to fish in must be open for fishing.
