Santa Skate at Clare Drake Arena
🆓 December 5 | Join University of Alberta Campus & Community Recreation for a fun midday Santa Skate! This festive celebration on ice at Clare Drake Arena includes enjoy free hot chocolate, candy canes, Christmas music, and SANTA!

Free Santa Skate at Glen Allen Recreation Complex
🆓 December 7 | Take to the ice and enjoy a Santa Skate at the Glen Allen Recreation Complex in Sherwood Park. Skaters can look forward to a festive Christmas atmosphere with lights, decorations, and, of course, SANTA! Event is free of charge and there will be free skate rentals, photo opportunities, cookie decorating, and hot chocolate to enjoy.

Bright Light Skate Night
🆓 December 13 | Bright Light Skate Night is coming to Sir Winston Churchill Square and City Hall Plaza. Be there to enjoy free skating on the City Hall Plaza Rink, roving performers, live ice carving, arts and crafts, free maple taffy, and the official lighting of the City Hall Christmas Tree at 5:00 pm. Free skate rentals will be available.

Skate with Santa and the Beaumont Chiefs
🆓 December 14 | Skate with Santa and the Beaumont Chiefs at the Ken Nichol Recreation Centre! Bring your own camera for photos with Santa while you enjoy skating, hot chocolate, and other festive fun at this free event.

Holiday Pajama Party Friday Fun Skate at Leduc Rec Centre
December 19 | Join the Leduc Recreation Centre each month for a themed Friday Fun Skate the whole family can enjoy! Enjoy music, activities, prizes, games, and fun.  It’s all included with a daily admission pass, or FREE if you’re an LRC member. Don’t forget your helmets!

Skate with Santa & The Grinch in St. Albert
🆓 December 21 | Bring the family to St. Albert’s Kinex Arena on Sunday, December 21, 2025 to Skate with Santa & the Grinch! Its’s all free to enjoy, including candy canes, a candy-guessing jar, and classic Christmas music.
