Embrace the cold and see stunning works of carved ice art at the Chiseled International Ice Carving Competition and the annual Ice on Whyte festival by Activate Arts Alberta!


January 24 to 26 | Some of the best ice carving talent from across Canada will gather in ICE District Plaza to create impressive sculptures carved from simple blocks of ice and snow. Come see the teams of artists at work, and discover which icy sculpture will take top prize in the competition! Sculptures will be on display throughout February.

Ice on Whyte

January 27 to 29 | Ice on Whyte is back in Dr. Wilbert McIntrye Park with a small sculpture garden, live ice carving demonstrations and Chipper ice carving lessons for all ages.
