All Weekend | Celebrating its 36th year, the Silver Skate Festival is Edmonton’s longest-running outdoor winter festival! Celebrate your love of the outdoors with snow sculptures, live music, folk stories, and more. Don’t miss the free fun in the Recreation Zone, the impressive snow and fire sculptures, fantastical tales along the Folk Trail, or skating on the outdoor rink!
🎥 International Film of Winter Cinema
All Weekend | The family-friendly film fest promises plenty of excitement during 10 full days of winter-themed films and art installations. Pack your chairs and blankets and cozy up in the one-of-a-kind snow theatre to join in the celebration of winter, mountain sports, polar, indigenous, and local films. Where else can you gather around the fire and watch a movie in the park on a screen made of snow?
🎂 Edmonton Oil Kings – Louie’s Birthday Bash
February 6 | Edmonton Oil Kings games are a fun and affordable option for live hockey action with your entire crew. This weekend, celebrate Louie, the Oil King’s mascot’s birthday! Over ten of Louie’s mascot friends will be attending, and there will be lots of birthday fun!

February 7-8 | Clear your weekend plans and get ready for the In Love with Local: Galentine’s Market by Malla MRKT at Kingsway Mall. Whether you want a fun place for a mother-daughter outing or retail therapy with your girl friends, this event has all the girly Valentine’s vibes you could want. Admission is FREE!
🧧 Togather Chinatown Arts Festival
February 7-8 | Gather with family and friends to celebrate Lunar New Year at the Togather Chinatown Arts Festival. This free, family-friendly event at Pacific Mall will include live performances, kids’ activities, delicious eats, a market featuring 40+ local vendors, workshops, and more!
💌 Make a Valentine’s Card at Michaels Kids Club
February 7 | Michaels Kids Club events let you drop in for some creative fun at your local store! Stop by during the scheduled times and join the Michaels team in the project room to create a Valentine’s Card together.
🎿 Leduc County Winter Try It Festival
February 7 | Bundle up and head out to Wizard Lake for Leduc County’s annual Winter Try It Festival. This family-friendly event offers the opportunity to try a variety of winter sports and activities, including skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, curling, broomball, and ice fishing. There will also be free maple taffy, hot dogs, hot chocolate, coffee, sleigh rides, live music, and more!
🏆 Lego Mania Competition
February 7 | Take part in the Lego Mania Competition at Edgemont Community Centre for your chance at fun prizes! All ages are welcome to compete with categories for kids, teens, and adults, and there will be public viewing, live builds, and concessions. Check out the website for the schedule and guidelines.
🧧 Lunar New Year at Londonderry Mall
February 8 | Join the Edmonton Chinese Bilingual Education Association in welcoming in the Year of the Horse at the Lunar New Year celebration in Londonderry Mall. There will be lion dances, drumming, art & crafts, and more. Everyone is invited to share in these joyful cultural traditions!
🚐 RV Adventure Sale & Show
All Weekend | If you already have camping season on your mind, you won’t want to miss the RV Adventure Sale & Show at Edmonton Expo Centre. Check out all the latest in luxury RVing and camping products, and start planning for all your 2026 outdoor adventures.
