Whether you’re taking your very first plié or have years of experience on stage, students of all ages can explore their passion for dance with Winter Classes at Alberta Ballet! In an inclusive and nurturing environment that features live music as a part of their programs, Alberta Ballet offers a welcoming community where every dancer can feel at home. Students can build confidence and express themselves creatively through dance while building strength, balance, and a lifelong love of movement.
Formed as their own division within Alberta Ballet in 2024, Alberta Ballet Community is celebrated for its inspiring performances and for sharing the joy of dance with Albertans across the province. Through recreational programs and community partnerships, Alberta Ballet Community opens doors for all ages and backgrounds to discover creativity and connection through dance. Dance is more than an art form to them – it’s a celebration of community, a source of friendship, and an invitation to self-discovery in a supportive environment.
On January 18, 2026, Alberta Ballet Community will host its Free Day of Dance for children ages 3-8 to try out a ballet class, meet instructors, and learn about the programs before registering for a winter class. No experience or uniform is required for this event. If this sounds like something you’d like to take advantage of, register your child aged 3 to 5 here. Register children aged 6 to 8 here.
