On sunny days you’ll find loads of young families taking advantage of the smooth dirt trails that circle Trout Lake (perfect for jogging and pushing strollers). There are two playgrounds complete with baby-swings for the kids to enjoy.

The park is famous in Vancouver for playing host to the annual Illuminares Lantern Procession, when hundreds of glowing paper lanterns are set free in Trout Lake, and as the location for the climax of the Halloween-season Parade of Lost Souls.

Trout Lake Beach is lifeguarded Victoria Day (late May) to Labour Day (early September) south end of lake, has a swimming raft, off leash area north end of lake, play fields, concession, picnic area, bbqs permitted, and free parking.
