Milky Way DayAs part of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve, the skies above Elk Island National Park are naturally dark and regularly displays a breathtaking view of twinkling stars or dancing Northern Lights. Visit the park on Sunday, September 1, 2019 for Milky Way Day – your chance to get a stunning view of the sky.

This annual star party will feature volunteer astronomers sharing stargazing tips, guest speakers, and more. Want to visit before nightfall? Interpretive programs will be offered during the day, including special campfire stories from 7 pm to 8 pm. Bring the whole family for a night of fun you won’t soon forget!
