Canada’s largest Halloween festival, Pumpkins After Dark, is returning to Edmonton’s Borden Park this September and October for another spooktacular season! With all new pumpkin displays and more roaming entertainment, it is a must-see event for ghosts and ghouls of all ages. Expect terrific enhancements and new features in 2025, plus theme nights!

Pumpkins After Dark is a one-of-a-kind celebration of all things Halloween. It runs Thursdays through Sundays from September 26 to October 31, 2025, giving you plenty of opportunities to enjoy an exciting fall tradition with your family. Over 10,000+ hand-carved pumpkins are arranged in stunning sculpture displays along a magical pathway. The outdoor, walk-through exhibit includes specially curated lighting, music, sounds, and special effects to help bring each gourd-filled work of art to life.

This family-friendly venue will have something to surprise and delight visitors both young and old. There is nothing too scary for your little ones, and your big ones will be amazed by the creativity. Expect to see classic Halloween characters, dragons, dinosaurs, movie and pop culture icons and more, all proudly carved by Canadian Artists.

Beyond the sculptures, the event also features live pumpkin carving demonstrations, interactive roaming Halloween characters, Instagram-worthy photo ops, a 3-D maze, and food trucks serving fall treats and sweets. Plus, don’t forget to pick out and buy your own pumpkin on the way out to carve your own spectacular jack-o’-lantern at home!

All tickets for Pumpkins After Dark are timed and must be purchased in advance. The event is quite popular, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
