We’re keeping our fingers crossed that school-age kids will get to enjoy costume fun and classroom Halloween parties, while younger ghosts and ghouls can join in some of the daytime festivities from our list. And, once that final school bell rings, you’ll be ready to scoop up your costumed kiddos and head out for even more Halloween excitement in the evening!

🎃 Halloween Day Fun 2025:

FREE Kids admission to the Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens
🆓 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM | Kids ages 12 & under – dressed up in Halloween costumes get FREE admission all day on October 31. Simply purchase your adult ticket online and bring the kids dressed in costume.

Trick-or-Treat a FREE Slurpee at 7-Eleven
🆓 All Day | Visit your neighbourhood 7-Eleven in costume and receive a FREE small Slurpee or coffee!

Halloween Parade at Leduc Public Library
🆓 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Celebrate the big day with spooky songs and stories, crafts, treats, and a fun costume parade through the library!

Halloween Witch Hunt at Bountiful Farmers’ Market
🆓 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Visit Bountiful Farmers’ Market on October 31, 2025, for a FREE Halloween Witch Hunt! Start by grabbing a tracker from the information booth, search for all ten hidden witch hats, and you could win $50 in Market Vouchers. There will also be balloon art and face painting!

IKEA Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt
🆓 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Families and kids are invited to explore IKEA Edmonton in spooky style for a fun Halloween scavenger hunt on Halloween day! Dress up in your favorite costume to come solve clues, discover hidden surprises, and claim a treat at the finish. No registration is needed.

Spooky Strathma Down the Rabbit Hole
🆓 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | The Strathcona County Museum & Archives has transformed into a whimsical, spooky wonderland inspired by Alice in Wonderland! Take a trip Down the Rabbit Hole and explore a colourful world filled with spooky surprises, glowing lights, and scavenger hunt fun. See the Instagram reel from our visit here. Brick or Treat Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt at LEGO Stores
🆓 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM | Visit a LEGO® Store any time during store hours for a pumpkin scavenger hunt! Hunt for hidden pumpkins around the store and grab a sweet treat when you find them (while supplies last). Both malls are also offering indoor trick-or-treating so if you can plan accordingly, you can do both!

See The Spooky Side of RAM on Halloween
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | All dressed up, but nowhere to go? Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) has Halloween spooky activities for ghouls of all ages including slime making, spider encounters, and touch n’ feel mystery bones!

Beaumont RCMP Safe Halloween
3:oo PM – 4:30 PM | Join the Beaumont RCMP in the Recreation Centre parking lot for Safe Halloween fun! Come in costume for this afternoon event, and enjoy treat bags, fun activities, a close-up look at emergency vehicles, and get helpful safety tips before you head out trick-or-treating.

Laser Halloween Spooktacular at TELUS World of Science – Edmonton
4:00 PM | Visit the Science Centre and enjoy a one-of-a-kind Halloween Spooktacular laser light show in the Zeidler Dome. This ghoulish music and laser show is included with regular admission and is sure to delight the kids with some extra thrilling Halloween fun!

Trunk or Treat at Leduc Grain Elevator

Visit the historic grain elevator and collect candy from the specially decorated vehicle trunks in the parking lot.

The Headless Carrot Halloween Party
🆓 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM | The Carrot Coffeehouse is about to get haunted with their annual Headless Carrot Halloween Party! Come in costume on for this FREE party including pumpkin carving demos, a hot dog and marshmallow roast, candy treat bags, and a DJ’d dance party.

Halloween at Magrath
🆓 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Celebrate Halloween with Magrath at Concordia Campus. Come walk the eerie grounds of the historic Magrath Manor on Halloween night and enjoy some Trick-or-Treating fun!

Monster Laboratory
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Enter the Monster Laboratory if you dare, in support of Second Chance Animal Rescue Society. For one night only, creatures will lurk in the shadows and eerie experiments will bubble and glow in this haunted Halloween walk-through. Bring a donation of pet food to help give animals a fresh start.

Trunk-or-Treat at VantagePoint Community Church
🆓 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Enjoy hot chocolate and hot dogs by the fire pits as the kids safely gather treats from trunk to trunk in the church parking lot.

FREE VR Haunted House at Aurora VR
🆓 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Stop by Aurora VR on Halloween to step into Insanity: The Haunting, a terrifying 25-minute free-roam virtual reality experience that will push your courage to the limit — free to play, no booking required.

Halloween Night After Party + Fireworks in Griesbach
🆓 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM | Head to Major General Griesbach School Field to cap off your Halloween night of fun! There will be hot chocolate, lively music, and a dazzling fireworks finale to light up the night sky!

Halloween Fireworks in Terwillegar
🆓 8:00 PM | Celebrate fright night with a Halloween Fireworks extravaganza in Terwillegar’s Tomlinson Park! Take a break from trick-or-treating and walk over to the east side of the park to enjoy the spooktacular show on Halloween night.
