MAMBEC (Martial Art Mind Body Education Centre) is a contemporary martial arts centre that offers instruction in physical and mental martial arts. It’s a Life Skills program with a Martial Arts connection that focuses on anti-bullying, conflict resolution and leadership.
MAMBEC programs are karate-based, strongly emphasizing body mechanics compatible with any traditional martial art. Students are taught skills on how to avoid/manage conflict without resorting to violence by balancing physical/mental self-defences. By using holistic education, children understand conflict and create healthy relationships founded on self-respect, respect for others, and knowledge.
Weekend / Evening Lessons:
MAMBEC offers their Martial Art/Life Skill Specialty Program (with an emphasis on anti-bullying) at Cole Harbour Place throughout the school year. It is a 12-week program registering 3 times a year (September, January, and April).
Classes for ages 4 to 6:
Saturday 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
(No Monday Class going forward, parents preferred a longer Saturday class)
Classes for ages 7-8:
Saturdays 1:00 to 2:00 PM
Tuesdays 6:00 to 7:00 PM
Classes for 8 and up:
Saturday 2:00 to 3:00 PM
Wednesdays 6:00 to 7:00 PM
One class is mandatory, the second is offered at no extra cost.
Christmas Special for New Students
NEW to MAMBEC? You can become a new student of MAMBEC’s Weekend and Evening Martial Art/Life Skill Program and join at the special rate of $199! This includes 3 months’ tuition, uniform, plus a copy of J’s Bad Day children’s book on child safety. You can visit the website, visit the shop, and scroll down to the introductory special.
