You’ve been booed! Now what should you do? Play along of course. This Halloween, my son and I decided to spread some Halloween joy and Boo some of our neighbours and friends. We made up Halloween baskets and dropped them off. We picked three different houses we wanted to spread the cheer to. Our neighbourhood has many kids in it so we hope people will continue to spread Boos.

My son’s favourite part was sneakily dropping off the baskets. Well, almost sneakily, he rang the doorbell the first time and then ran but not fast enough. We wanted to keep our identity secret but it didn’t work out. We love Halloween. It’s a wonderful time to get out and see all the other kids in the neighbourhood and meet more people. The Baskets of Boos help that even more. I’m hoping it will bring a smile to some faces.

I’m not sure if our community has ever Booed one another before and I’m hoping we can start a trend throughout Saskatoon. If not, I know my family will continue to make it our tradition every Halloween.

If you receive a basket, you can then boo two more houses. The game will continue to grow as more people boo one another. We put the free printable (below) in the basket so they could put a ‘We’ve Been Booed’ in a window.

We did most of our shopping at Dollarama and I think we found some pretty good items. From candy to Halloween Crackers to stickers, we had a lot of fun getting ready to Boo our friends.

Happy Halloween! If you haven’t been booed yet, you can start it in your own neighbourhood. You can download our Family Fun ‘You’ve been Booed’ here.
