The organizers recognized that gluten-free foods are rarely donated to Food Banks across Canada, meaning those who have gluten intolerances and rely on food banks for help often had to make the difficult decision between eating food that would make them unwell, or not eating at all. The intention of the first Gluten Free Expo was to collect gluten-free donations for local food banks and educate those living with gluten intolerance to discover new dietary solutions. Now, the events are the largest gluten-free expos in Canada and have expanded to three cities!
Give yourself lots of time at the Gluten Free Expo because there is so much to see and learn! Sample hundreds of products from vendors, and learn from leading experts such as registered dieticians, doctors, and chefs all ready to answer your questions. If you have children in your life who are gluten-free, be sure to bring them along! Not only will they get to learn about the multitude of gluten-free dietary options, but there will also be a fun children’s play area with loads of activities.
