Looking for a summer camp where your child can have fun AND learn valuable life skills? At 4-H Alberta Summer Camps, each day offers new adventures, skill-building opportunities, and lasting memories. Guided by the 4-H motto, “Learn to Do by Doing,” campers experience camp life through games, creative challenges, and outdoor activities, all supported by a dedicated, highly qualified team. Whether your child wants to try something new or build on what they already love, they will discover courage, creativity, and new friendships at 4-H.
Since 1917, 4-H has been helping young people across Alberta grow, learn, and thrive. The 4-Hs (head, heart, hands, and health) are at the core of all their programs. Whether your child is interested in art, cooking, agriculture, or active living, there’s a place for them at 4-H. Youth from all walks of life will learn lifelong skills like leadership, critical thinking, and community service.
Day Camps
4-H offers two fun Day Camp options for kids and families. Cleaver Day Camp is for children ages 6 to 8, and the All-Ages Day Camp is open to campers ages 9 and older. Camps run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day, with hands-on activities, skill-building, and plenty of chances to make new friends. Snacks and lunch are included, and families are welcome to join in during the day. If you want even more adventure, you can sign up for overnight camping and evening programs.

Junior & Intermediate
Junior and Intermediate camps offer lots of fun activities, time to explore trails, and chances to make new friends. With themed meals, game nights, and delicious food, your child is sure to have an amazing week at 4-H camp.

Combined Camps
The Combined Camps welcome kids ages 9 to 14 to join one of three fun themes. Connection (#1) helps campers build strong communities, make friends, and create lasting memories. STEAM (#2) lets campers explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math through hands-on, creative activities. Healthy Living/Trek (#3) encourages campers to enjoy wellness and adventure, with an optional outdoor Trek stream for those who want even more time outside.

YLEAD Camp & Senior Summer Retreat
There are two exciting camp options for youth ages 15 and up: YLEAD (2-Day Experience) and Senior Summer Retreat (3-Day Experience).
YLEAD is for those who want to become Youth Leaders at summer camps. It offers leadership training, chances to connect with peers from all over Alberta, and helps develop practical people skills. The Senior Summer Retreat brings youth together from across the province to have fun, make friends, and enjoy memorable camp experiences.

Camp Activities
All campers will enjoy a variety of activities, including everything from cooking and crafts to science and sports. 4-H also features classic camp traditions like campfires, colour wars, and an all-camp dance. Each camp gives kids the chance to stay overnight, whether in cabins or teepees. No matter which you choose, every camp promises unforgettable memories and non-stop fun all summer long.
