The Art Gallery of Alberta is the place to go for excellence in visual arts. The gallery regularly brings in high gallery exhibits featuring some of the province’s and the world’s greatest artists. The gallery moved into a new building designed by Randall Stout in 2010, making the facility as beautiful as the art inside.
The Gallery’s exhibits change regularly, and the facility offers a variety of talks, workshops, and classes. There are also regular activities and programs designed specifically for families. Admission to the AGA is always free for kids 17 and under, and free admission is offered to all visitors on Thursday nights between 5 pm and 8 pm. Visit the AGA website for a schedule of activities, special events, and exhibits. The gallery is not open on Mondays.
