Hanul Art School invites school-aged kids to get creative this summer with a range of art, creative writing, and coding Summer Camps! Come discover their studio in south Edmonton and see how they inspire fun and learning through a combination of highly creative and academic education.
Hanul Art School offers unique summer camp experiences that can’t be found anywhere else in the city! Students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 can unleash their infinite potential by writing, illustrating and publishing their own books, using coding to control autonamous cars, creating their own fashion characters, or discovering the world of AI. Your child will learn alongside skilled professionals with plenty of hands-on experience and opportunities for self-discovery.
Full Day Camps
Art, Writing and Coding | Grade 4-12
During this unique camp students will write and illustrate their own chapter book, then create an interactive audio book edited and recorded by themselves! At the end of class, you will have the option to have copies of the book professionally printed.
Character Fashion Design | Grade 5-12
Young artists will learn to draw the human face, body, and movements, then create an original character with realistic and chibi styles. Once perfected on paper, students will bring their character to life as a 3D felt plush!
Half Day Camps
Picture Book Pioneers | Kindergarten-Grade 2
Budding authors can bring their imaginations to life by writing and illustrating their very own storybook! There’s even the option to have a published copy produced after camp to add to your home storybook collection.
Artistic Authors | Grade 3-6
Create your own book! Students will learn about story writing and editing in writing class, learn how to express their story with new techniques and mediums in art class, and learn how to edit it all on the computer. At the end of class, students will have a completed book ready to have professionally published!
Creative Writers | Grade 3-6
Professional Writers | Grade 7-12
Summer break is a great time for students to upgrade their creative writing skills. Students can nurture their love of writing while learning key skills like story ideation, character development, plot construction, and more. During the camp, students will craft their own captivating story and use editing techniques to ensure it is ready to both publish and submit in a writing competition.
Intensive Art 1 | Grade 3-6
Intensive Art 2 | Grade 7-12
Choosing one theme to explore, students will represent the same subject matter through different mediums and techniques inspired by famous artists. Campers can look forward to working with a variety of materials including acrylic paints, mixed media, pencil drawing, water colour, and illustration to produce a portfolio of work.
Young Engineers 1 | Grade 1-3
Young Engineers 2 | Grade 4-6
Discover the world of block coding and learn to use micro:bit to control an autonamous car! Campers will get to learn the basics of AI and get creative using technology and programming to solve problems.
Pro-coding | Grade 7-10
Students can dive into the exciting field of AI and learn to get creative with Python AI Coding. Throughout the class students can have fun working together with new friend to develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking.

Online registration is now open for all Summer Camps at Hanul Art School. Class sizes are very limited, with some as few as four students per class to ensure plenty one-on-one attention and customized learning. Each camp offers a wide range of skills and learning opportunities, leaving both you and your child amazed at what they can learn and create in just one week!
