Looking for a full day of adventure this summer? Head South to Kraay Family Farm, home of the world-famous Lacombe Corn Maze, and plenty of other farm-tastic fun activities. Get Lost in the Maze
Over the past 26 years, the Kraay Family Farm has grown and evolved from its beginnings as the Lacombe Corn Maze. Founded in 2000 by the Kraay family, the 40-acre farm has transformed into a beloved destination, though the iconic corn maze remains at its heart. Each year brings a fresh and creative new design, keeping visitors guessing and exploring. The maze features two challenge levels packed with twists and turns, plus a smaller, kid-friendly version for younger adventurers.

Your ticket into Kraay Family Farms gets you full access to 95% of the activities & attractions on the farm. We love that the farm just keeps expanding each time we visit, and are always excited to see what creative ideas the Kraay crew have up with.
There is memory-making fun around every corn-er, with activities geared towards all ages. For the younger set, the sandbox-like Corn Barn, Mini Crooked Houses, Slide Barn, and Horse Carousel are always a big hit! Older kids will enjoy the challenge of the Timberline Adventure Course (closed toe shoes required), Zip Line, Stalk Car Racing, Ball Zone, and the Tractor Pull. The adults will love getting in on the action with Wall Ball, Duck Races, Giant Foosball, and Shooting Gallery!
To top things off, there is also the option to enjoy a few fun add-ons for an additional cost. We always grab a few tickets to enjoy a ride through the corn fields and pumpkin patch on the Grain Train and try our hand at gemstone mining. Tickets can be purchased at any building on the farm, or through a punch pass available online or at the farm.
Duck, Duck, Goose
It’s a farm, so naturally, there are adorable animals to pet and interact with too! The petting area is always a big hit with our family, filled with ducks, pigs, chickens, roosters, donkeys, bunnies, peacocks & peahens, and my daughter’s favourite – goats. Don’t forget to bring a stack of quarters to purchase pellets from the “candy” dispensers and feed your favourites.
We also love that your well-behaved dogs on a leash are allowed on the farm. Anywhere we can bring our furry family member along for the adventure scores big bonus points in our books!
Treat Yourself!
After feeding the animals, you probably will want to also feed yourselves. Kraay Family Farm offers a wide array of family favourites at their CORNcession and Sugar Shack. You can enjoy a burger, corn dog, pulled pork, or chicken tenders for your main meal, or snack on delicious fresh roasted nuts, mini donuts, cotton candy, and homemade kettle corn. Mom and dad may also want to treat themselves to a caffeine-fueled drink at the Espresso Bin, or a locally-brewed beer or wine slushie at the Crowbar. There is plenty of seating in their covered picnic table area and we usually opt to bring our own picnic lunch and treat the kids to a cool treat like a lemonade slushie or ice cream!

Pre-purchased tickets are highly recommended to ensure a spot upon your arrival (and save yourself a bit of money). Capacity is limited and walkup admission is not guaranteed on busy days. (Fall Saturdays and Holiday Mondays require a date-specific ticket for this reason).
Any time is a good time to visit Kraay Family Farm, but we especially love it in the summer when we can enjoy it during a slower weekday. Special events to also take note of at the farm include Strawberry Days in July, Sunflower Days in August, Pumpkin Days in late September and into October, and the annual Movie Night in late September!
