Festival Place

The performing arts take center stage at Festival Place! Choose from dance, musical theatre, movie making and more at thisΒ state-of-the-art performance venue and theatre located in beautiful Broadmoor Lake Park. There are even combined performing and visual arts camps for those who want to experience a little of everything.

Feature Camps

TMT – Teen Musical Theatre (Ages 12-17) | August 11-15, 2025
Dive into the world of musical theatre with characters, songs, and scenes from popular musicals! If you like singing to the radio, learning new dance moves online, or are a fan of live theatre, this camp is for you.

Technical Theatre Camp (Ages 12-18) | July 28-August 1, 2025
Teens are invited to learn all about the world of technical theatre in this hands-on camp taught by theatre professionals. No experience is necessary to come learn about lighting, sound, costume and set design, while getting valuable experience working as part of the technical crew at Festival Place on an array of performing arts summer camp productions.

Gallery@501

For the full gambit of visual arts, there’s no better spot to be than Gallery@501! This hub for contemporary arts and crafts is conveniently located in the Community Centre and offers everything from painting, printmaking and sculpture to writing and cartooning. At Gallery@501 Summer Camps, kids will explore a variety of art mediums, tour the art on display in the gallery and create exciting art projects.

Feature Camp

Mural Mentorshop Camp (Ages 12-16) -Bilingual | July 21-25, 2025
Local artists Theo Donovan and Rin Wilson from Gallery@501 invite youth to be part of an exciting public mural project at Festival Place! Campers will get hands-on experience designing a life-size mural, selecting a color palette, and mastering painting techniques while working on an actual outdoor mural for the community to enjoy. This is a Bilingual art camp that will include instruction in both French and English.

Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre

Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre shares the love of art and craft with campers of all skill levels. They are proud to offer three unique and well-equipped studios where creativity flourishes – a place where students come together to create, connect, and dream! From painting, drawing, crafting, and working with clay to glass fusing and fibre arts, there are countless delightful experiences awaiting you at the centre this summer.

Creative GLASS (Ages 14-17) | Half Day July 21-25, 2025
Get creative and learn the art of fused glass at Studio One. Artists sketch ideas, plan their designs, and learn how to work with glass to create stunning artworks.

CLAY Artist (Ages 12-15) | Half Day August 5-8, 2025
Head to Clay Hut to try a new medium – no experience required! Participants will learn about the properties and features of clay while exploring form, texture, shape, and basic hand building techniques. Come ready to be creative and get a bit messy.
