Staying active, having fun, and redefining what it means to be a champion — this is what Tri-CHAMPS Triathlon day camps look like over the school closure break! Maybe you’re looking for a safe place for your young grade-schoolers to be during the day. Or maybe you’re hoping your teenager can find a way to stay engaged, active, and off screens when they’re out of school! Either way, take a look at Tri-CHAMPS Triathlon for kids ages 6 – 16.
Tri-CHAMPS Triathlon Camps
Tri-CHAMPS Triathlon Club is an Edmonton-based not-for-profit organization fostering a safe and inclusive community for athletes. Tri-CHAMPS believes everyone should have an opportunity to pursue triathlon and benefit from the sport and the community around it. Kids require no previous triathlon experience to be successful at these camps.
During these camps, kids will participate in technique-focused and age-appropriate workouts. Swim sessions will focus on water safety and technique, while bike sessions focus on basic bike handling skills and safe group riding. Running sessions will offer games that develop fundamental locomotor skills. But that’s not all! Kids will also enjoy daily field trips to educational centres, like the Royal Alberta Museum. Plus, lunch is provided, too!
Cost for these day camps is $340/week, and includes all facility entrance fees and lunch. You can drop off and pick up at the Kinsmen Sports Centre, and camps run from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Please note that campers must have (or purchase) a valid 2026 Triathlon Alberta Membership to participate.

If you haven’t already, be sure to register here for parent support from the Alberta government. If you have a child aged 12 and under who attends a public, separate, or francophone school affected by the disruption, you are eligible to receive $30 per child per school day of the labour action.
