There’s nothing like the juicy crunch of a freshly picked apple and no better feeling than picking that apple yourself! With so many beautiful orchards, families in Nova Scotia have plenty of choices when it comes to places to go apple-picking. To accompany the handy map below, here is our list of fun places to go apple-picking with your family in Nova Scotia. Not all farms accept debit and credit, so check before you go!

*NOTE: Last year’s Hurricane Fiona negatively impacted crops across the province. If you are looking at the map, check each website before you go. Some locations will not offer U-pick this year.  However, the orchards below are open for business for 2023. *

Dempsey Corner Orchards

At Dempsey Corner, families can pick apples, corn, pumpkins, peaches, and plums – or kids can even dig their own root vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, onions, or beets! The kids will love going on the merry-goat-round (goats ride on with kids!). Enjoy the Petting Zoo, playground, tearoom, and bakery featuring hot lunches, sweets, jams, and of course – fresh-baked pie!
