Founded in 1992 by the Conseil Communautaire du Grand-Havre, Camp de Jour is a special place. It’s a French-speaking haven in HRM that promotes the overall development of the Francophone community. It’s a place where your kids can immerse themselves in adventures and stories while speaking the beautiful French language. Now with two locations, École du Carrefour in Dartmouth and École du Sommet in Halifax, Camp du Jour makes it even more convenient to immerse your children in French.
Camp de Jour is perfect for kiddos aged 4 to 9. There is also Camp en Action for ages 10-13. A basic level of French is required, but new learners, fluent speakers and little ones in kindergarten French or French immersion are all eligible. That’s a whole week packed with activities designed to keep your kids engaged, learning, and most importantly, having a ton of fun. From arts and crafts to outdoor games, there’s sure to be something for every child to enjoy.
