The Halifax Citadel National Historic Site is open for the season between early May and late October. From June 19 to September 7 2026, the Canada Strong Pass provides free admission for adults to the Citadel (there is already free admission for youth 17). Enjoy living history demonstrations, exhibits, guided tours, and of course the historic noon gun as you discover the hilltop fortress in the middle of downtown Halifax.
