Historic Properties wants to ensure that your family enjoys the best of what spooky season has to offer. Imagine a place where little witches, superheroes, and princesses play games, get their faces painted, and frolic amidst pumpkins and hay bales, all without leaving the heart of Halifax! Join the annual Safe Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 28th and watch as one of Halifax’s oldest and most recognizable landmarks is transformed into a courtyard full of Halloween fun.
Located at the heart of downtown Halifax, Historic Properties is a must-see waterfront destination for visitors and a popular port for locals. Within its charming historic buildings, you will find unique shops, top-notch dining, and true east coast entertainment.
Any East Coaster will tell you the importance of celebrating fall to its fullest. The seemingly shortest of all seasons, we happily welcome our denim, our plaid, and our rustic harvest-inspired decorations. Historic Properties carries forth this important tradition with a modern twist, creating the perfect backdrop for the most Instagrammable photos and a safe environment in which families can frolic amongst pumpkins and hay bales without the long drive out of the city.
This year at Historic Properties Safe Halloween event, you will find a pumpkin patch where families can select the perfect pumpkin. If you pick one to take home, all they ask for is a monetary donation or a non-perishable food item. And here’s the best part: all donations are directed to Feed Nova Scotia, making it a fun day out with a purpose.
Children can transform themselves into magical characters with face-painting as they dive into some classic Halloween games, and of course, trick or treat their way through the charming historic stores. And for those little ones dreaming of meeting a superhero or a Disney princess, dreams might just come true on this special day.
Historic properties, where the past is always present… especially the ghosts. Muahaha.
