Nova Scotia Tree for Boston Send-off

Tree for Boston

Since 1971, Nova Scotia has given a Christmas tree to the people of the City of Boston as a measure of gratitude for the way our Southern neighbours reached out during the aftermath of the Halifax Explosion in 1917. Head to the Grand Parade to wish our beautiful home-grown tree safe travels at the official send-off to Boston! Join in the fun with performers, music and lots more! Our tree will then be getting packed up and ready for the trip; and will say one final ‘goodbye’ at Saturday’s Parade of Lights, before hitting the road.
