This summer let your child escape to the outdoors and delve into their faith – sign up for a week-long, overnight camp experience at Camp Artaban. Located on Gambier Island in Howe Sound, Camp Artaban is nestled onto 47+ acres of water-front with access to hundreds of acres of crown land for natural exploration, outdoor adventure and all levels of hiking.
Camp Artaban, rooted in Anglican tradition, has been providing Christian camping since 1923; it is one of the oldest camps in British Columbia. The days are packed at Camp Artaban with participants enjoying: canoeing, sea kayaking, wharf jumping, rowing, swimming, beach-combing, indoor and outdoor climbing walls, archery, sports, hiking and wilderness adventures, crafts, and more.

Leaders in Training (Grade 12) Combine the fun of camp with the development of leadership skills! The specialized program includes challenge course work, outtripping, initiative workshops and team building sessions. It will introduce participants to some of the behind the scenes work of Camp Artaban. Dates: July 13 – 22
Junior Coed (Grades 6 – 8) If your child is full of energy and ready for adventure, this camp is for them. Through games and activities, campers discover and develop their unique gifts. The instructors model love and respect for others. Campers are encouraged to expand their limits and to develop new friendships. Dates: July 15 – 22
Family Camp Families (blended, newly-wed, empty nest, couples with no children or traditional) will flourish at this camp designed to socialize, de-stress and revitalize the participants. Take part in games, crafts and sports programs. Enjoy discussions on faith and other topics of interest, evening campfires, and lots of quality time to enjoy being a family. Dates: July 22 – 27 and August 2 – 5
Girls Camp (Grades 4 – 11) If you like to hang out in the spa and have slumber parties this camp is for you! If you would rather play sports, hike, climb and swim, you are also going to love this camp! Most girls like a combination of both and the Girls Camp covers it all. Campers come away with a renewed respect for themselves and their friends as well as ideas and inspiration for pursuing their dreams. Dates: July 27 – August 2
Beginners Outtripping (Grades 9-11) Kids who are interested in hiking and backpacking will relish this 5-day introductory camp. Campers spend time each day learning the skills needed to hike and backpack, and then will apply those newly acquired skills in activities such as day hikes, and practice-run overnight trips. The higlight of the Beginners Outtripping camp is an offsite, overnight hike where campers have the opportunity to put their new skills to the test in the beautiful wilderness of Gambier Island. Dates: August 4 – 8
Junior Junior Coed (Grades 3-5) For little ones away for home for the first time, this three-night camp is structured, lively, nurturing, and designed to support children with their new independence. There is fun, excitement, and a great sense of accomplishment as children learn new skills and meet surprising challenges. Dates: August 5 – 8
