Big Fun Chinese New Year Dinner: February 20, 2026, 6:30 – 10 PM
Get your tickets for the Big Fun Chinese New Year Dinner, a family-friendly celebration in Calgary’s historic Chinatown on February 20, 2026. Enjoy a 10-course Chinese banquet, lion dance, martial arts, silent auction, 50/50, tarot readings, and festive prizes. Proceeds support the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre.

Calgary Library Lunar New Year: February 16, 21, and 28, and March 1, 2026, times vary
Find special Lunar New Year activities at select libraries. Expect performances, workshops, games, and more. The launch event is at Central Library on Family Day.

Chinese Cultural Centre Chinese New Year: February 14 – 15 and 21 – 22, 2026, 11 AM – 5 PM
Join the Chinese Cultural Centre as they celebrate the Chinese New Year, transitioning to the Year of the Horse, with a sensational celebration of our city’s rich cultural tapestry. Enjoy two weekends of multicultural performances, a vibrant vendor market, traditional dragon and lion dances, art exhibitions, and more — all with FREE admission for the entire community.

Chinook Blast ImaginAsian Showcase: February 13, 2026, 6 – 10 PM
As part of Chinook Blast, celebrate the Lunar New Year with ImaginAsian Showcase. Head to the RISE UP Stage for a cultural celebration featuring singing, drumming, and dancing.

Heritage Park Five Loonies Lantern Festival: February 28 & March 1, 2026, 1 – 5 PM:
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with the Five Loonies Lantern Festival at Heritage Park! This FREE festival is a daytime lantern wonderland, filled with performances, crafts, and family fun.
