Alberta Open Farm Days is a province-wide event for foodies, farmers, and families. Albertans are encouraged to come meet their rural neighbours to share stories, see demonstrations, and learn more about the farmers who grow their food. Admission is free, though some farms may charge for extras, like corn mazes or wine tastings.

August 17 | Enjoy farm fun without having to leave the city! Chatsworth Farm
August 17 | This Vermillion area farm has long impressed me on Instagram with wide variety of animals and wholesome farm content. They go all out for Open Farm Days with live musical performances, machinery demos, farm tours, wagon rides, seed planting, BBQ, live cooking demonstrations, and more. Aurora Alpacas
August 17 & 18 | With it being the Year of the Alpaca, a visit to Aurora Alpacas seems like the perfect choice! This 80-acre ranch has a pack of almost 30 alpacas to meet and take photos with while you learn more about amazing fiber products they produce.
