Alberta Open Farm Days is a province-wide event for foodies, farmers and families. Albertans are encouraged to come meet their rural neighbours to share stories, see demonstrations, and learn more about the farmers who grow their food. Admission is free, though some farms may charge for extras, like corn mazes or wine tastings. As well, some of Alberta’s most talented chefs and rural communities will be hosting a memorable series of culinary events that will be held around the province, using Alberta farm products! In all, there are more than 100 farms opening their gates around the province, as well as a number of culinary events to choose from!
Two Edmonton-area farms that are included in the 2019 Alberta Open Farm Days include: Prairie Berry Farm for u-pick and pre-picked berries, and Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm, which is offering FREE admission on Sunday, August 18!
