The Black Owned Market Edmonton (BOM YEG) Cultural experience combines two separate experiences on June 19, 2021 into an afternoon of fun activities for the whole family. Please note that there are three separate event tickets and you will need a ticket for each activity that you wish to partake in.

  • The Afro Fusion Dance Workshop is hosted by Ivan Touko from La Connexional and BOM YEG in Central McDougall Park.
  • The Ethiopian & Eritrean Coffee Ceremony is hosted through Habesha African Market. We are pleased to provide a two seatings of a cultural coffee ceremony at Habesha African Market.

Each event is by donation so pay-what-you-can.

This event provides a place for you to get outside and enjoy the sunshine as you meet other community members. People from all walks of life, including all levels from beginners to experienced dancers and coffee drinkers. This is a good chance for you to learn more about Afro fusion dance and the significance of coffee to Ethiopian and Eritrean culture.
