Hi-Yah! Calling all ninjas. It’s time to sign up for summer training in the dojo. Ninjas aged 5 to 15 with all levels of coding experience are invited to take part in Code Ninjas Summer Camp throughout July and August! Summer camps at Code Ninjas dojos stretch your child’s mind, teach them valuable critical thinking skills, and promote a love for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math).

With a name like Code Ninjas you might think that all the camps they offer are strictly about coding, but that’s not the case! The STEAM-related fields are vast and the summer camp offerings are varied to represent the diversity of the fields. Of course, you’ll find camps related to popular coding-related games such as Minecraft and Roblox, but you’ll also find camps for your future YouTube star or stop-motion movie director! With the rise in popularity of 3D printers, Code Ninjas is even offering a camp specifically focused on designing, coding, and printing 3D creations.

Weeklong camps at Code Ninjas are led by a dedicated team of Code Senseis. Senseis help guide your ninja-in-training as they work through challenging tasks and collaborate with their peers. They encourage your child’s curiosity and make sure that, most of all, your ninja is having fun!

Camps for Ages 5 to 7

The youngest Ninjas can learn basic coding and game design during JR Adventures in Game Design, enjoy hands-on fun as they play with electric playdough and marble machines during JR STEM Discoveries, or experiment with electronics and become JR Inventors with Makey Makey.

Camps for Ages 8+

Choose from more then a dozen unique camp options using a wide variety of technology and computer programs. Minecraft fans can learn to create their own unique weapons and armor during Modding with Minecraft®, have fun experimenting with stop-action during Moviemaking with Minecraft®, or learn to code crazy things like chickens falling from the sky in Code Your Own Robot in Minecraft. For the young gamers who prefer Roblox, an Intro to Roblox Development will give them all the tools needed to plan, design and build a 3D world of their own creation.

LEGO enthusiasts can pair their building skills with basic coding to make fun creations like dancing robots or racing rhinos at Robotics with LEGO®, and choose to expand their knowledge of computer programming and engineering with LEGO® Python Engineers.

Aspiring stars will enjoy learning how to Become a YouTuber, eager film makers will love learning new Stop Motion Animation camera tricks, and passionate video game creators can enjoy programming their own retro-style arcade game during Code Your Own Arcade. For those more hands-on ninjas, there is the option to print some amazing take-home creations with 3D Design and Print, or build music interfaces and game controllers during Inventors with Makey Makey. Plus, for even more Makey Makey inspired fun, a Create & Compete camp lets young game inventors stay active and bring coding concepts to life by mixing them with classic field day activities.

Camps for Ages 10+

Older ninjas can level up their Ninja gaming and coding abilities with several great camp options. Campers can create a more expansive 3D world and gaming experience with Next Level Roblox Development, choose to learn the basics of HTML and CSS to create their own website in Intro to Web Development, or program their own sounds and music in Sonic Pi with Composing with Code. For those who enjoy a puzzle solving challenge, Operation: Code Breakers will teach how to encrypt and decrypt secret messages using computer science, and have campers build their own escape room to challenge family and friends.
