The Edmonton Public Library (EPL) has announced their reopening plan, which includes four phases. With Alberta now in Stage 2 of the Relaunch Strategy, places of business like theatres, recreational centres, and libraries are now able to start formulating their plans to safely welcome back visitors again.
While EPL will not be fully reopening just yet, they are taking a small steps forward by offering some alternative services. The first being Library Takeout, which is a convenient curbside pickup of hold materials. Library Takeout is currently available at Lois Hill, Whitemud Crossing, Mill Woods, Clareview, Castle Downs, Jasper Place, Riverbend and Woodcroft Branches.
The newly introduced second option is Library Express. This is a self-service checkout of holds, as well as access to a limited collection of popular books in-store. Express checkout begins Monday, July 6 at Clareview, Louis Hole and Mill Woods Branches.
