The great Ella Fitzgerald said “The only thing better than singing is MORE singing!” The Edmonton Youth and Children’s Choirs have taken up the challenge! This family of award-winning choirs offers programs for singers aged 6 to 24. This is more than just a singing group – it’s a professional music education offering the complete choir experience, including rehearsals, workshops, performances, tours, and social events.

 

The Edmonton Youth and Children’s Choirs are professionally-led choirs dedicated to creating choral music of the highest calibre. Participants will enjoy learning music from a variety of genres and cultures and will improve technique. Best of all, they’ll have fun, make new friends, and have the chance to expand the love of music. Registration is now open for the September 2019 through May 2020 season.

 

  • Primary Choir – introduce the art of choral singing to children aged 6 to 8 (grades 1-3). Rehearsal is 50 minutes per week.
  • Junior Choir – introduce the art of choral singing to children aged 9 to 12 (grades 4-6). Rehearsal is 1.5 hours per week.
  • Boys’ and Girls’ Choir – for male treble singers aged 10 to 15 and female singers aged 11 to 15. Rehearsal is 2 hours per week.
  • Youth Choir – for male and female singers aged 14-24. Rehearsal is 2.5 hours per week
