Gateway to the Stars: Stargazing at Elk Island National Park

Gateway to the StarsYou’ll never tire of stargazing at Gateway to the Stars at Elk Island National Park! Did you know Elk Island National Park is part of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve? That makes it an amazing place to experience the wonder of the night sky! On select Saturdays in September and October 2019, get out for an evening and escape the city to gaze upon the countless stars in our galaxy with a friendly park interpreter. Round out the evening with a campfire, hot chocolate and s’mores!

The program costs $15 per person, with your valid National Park pass. Advance registration is recommended, as the program is capped at 25 participants. Call 780-922-5790 to register. Refunds will not be given for poor weather. If the stars aren’t visible, a substitute program will be provided.
