Rogers Place Holiday Brunch & Skate
December 8 | Lace up your skates and make holiday memories together with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to skate on the same ice as the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings! Rogers Place is hosting a Holiday Brunch & Skate including a hearty holiday brunch, skating, photos with Santa, special guests, festive activities, and more! For a FREE Skate with Santa option, Glen Allen Arena is also hosting an event
Free Santa Skate at Glen Allen Recreation Complex
December 8 | Take to the ice and enjoy a Santa Skate at the Glen Allen Recreation Complex in Sherwood Park. Skaters can look forward to a festive Christmas atmosphere with lights, decorations, and, of course, SANTA! Event is free of charge and there will be free skate rentals, photo opportunities, cookie decorating, and hot chocolate to enjoy.
Santa Skate at Clare Drake Arena
December 13 | Join University of Alberta Campus & Community Recreation for a fun midday Santa Skate! This festive celebration on ice at Clare Drake Arena includes enjoy free hot chocolate, candy canes, Christmas music, and SANTA!
Bright Light Skate Night
December 14 | Bright Light Skate Night is coming to Sir Winston Churchill Square and City Hall Plaza. Be there to enjoy free skating on the City Hall Plaza Rink, a DJ, warming fire pits, Indigenous and cultural performers, plus more. Free skate rentals will be available.
FREE Skate Party in ICE District
December 15 | Join EPCOR & the Edmonton Oil Kings for a FREE family-friendly Skate Party at the ICE District outdoor rink. Louie the Lion and special guests from Edmonton Fire Rescue Services will be in attendance, plus EPCOR will there with FREE hot chocolate and all the fixings while spreading their message about Winter Stormwater Safety!
Skate with Santa in St. Albert
December 15 | Bring the family to St. Albert’s Kinex Arena on Sunday, December 15, 2024 to Skate with Santa and the Grinch! Its’s all free to enjoy, including photos with Santa, candy canes, and classic Christmas music.
Deck the Halls Friday Fun Skate at Leduc Rec Centre
December 20 | Join the Leduc Recreation Centre each month for a themed Friday Fun Skate the whole family can enjoy! Enjoy music, activities, prizes, games, and fun. It’s all included with a daily admission pass, or FREE if you’re an LRC member. Don’t forget your helmets!
Skate with Santa and the Beaumont Chiefs
December 22 | Skate with Santa and the Beaumont Chiefs at the Ken Nichol Recreation Centre! Bring your own camera for photos with Santa while you enjoy skating, hot chocolate, and other festive fun at this free event.
Winter City Weekends at City Hall
January 3 – February 28 | City Hall Plaza is the coolest spot for Edmontonians to hang out this winter thanks to the return of Winter City Weekends! The Edmonton Arts Council invites you to grab your skates and head to Churchill Square every weekend in January and February to enjoy free programming and live music from some of Edmonton’s best musicians and DJs.
