TELUS World of Science – Edmonton invites you to soar in this summer for the all new IMAX movie presentation Wings Over Water. This breathtaking 45 minute film narrated by Michael Keaton follows the three amazing bird families as they make the epic journey across the connected rivers, lakes and wetlands in the heartland of America. It is the perfect opportunity for all ages to learn about our wetland ecosystems and see some of the breathtaking animals and rich landscapes along the “flyways” used by millions of migratory birds.
During Wings Over Water, the audience will get up close and personal with amazing footage of the Sandhill Crane, Yellow Warbler, and Mallard Duck. See extraordinary footage of their behaviors, and be part of their triumphs and challenges as they soar across mountains, deserts, cities and forests to find their way home to raise their young. Along the way, discover some of the other fantastic wildlife along the waterways including the mighty Bison roaming the Great Plains and the humble honeybees responsible for pollinating our crops.
