The winter months are stacked with fun outdoor events in neighborhoods throughout the city! We have rounded up over a dozen fun winter celebrations being hosted by Community Leagues around Edmonton. Mark your calendar and get out to enjoy the sleigh rides, skating, crafts, and more at each of these fun events.

Winter Fun Day at Allard Park/Rink
February 10 | Embrace the winter season with skating, hot chocolate, maple taffy, and a fireworks display.
Westmount Community League Swing ‘N Skate Night
February 10 | Come for skating and hot chocolate, including Swing ‘N Skate fun from Edmonton Art Council and live music from the T3 Big Band.
Duggan Winter Festival
February 10 | Enjoy sleigh rides, skating (with skates to borrow), sledding, hot chocolate, roasting marshmallows, and donuts.
2024 Winter Festival with Ellerslie Community League & Horizon Community League
February 10 | Head to Ellerslie Crossing Park for a full afternoon of fun with sleigh rides, snowshoeing, crafts, snow painting, hot chocolate & refreshments by the fire, and food for purchase.
Willowby’s Annual Winter Festival Family Skating Party
February 11 | Visit the Willowby Community Hall for skating, sleigh rides, a wiener roast, and visits with ELSA and SPIDERMAN!
Hayrides & Hot Chocolate with Strathearn Community League
February 17 | Bring friends and family to Strathearn Community League for horse & wagon rides, crafts, live music, skating, and treats.
Wellington Park Community League Winter Wonderland
February 17 | Come early for the pancake breakfast ($3/person), then enjoy outdoor train rides, indoor games & crafts, and skating (weather permitting).
Royal Gardens Community League Winter Festival
February 18 | Enjoy sleigh rides, skating, ice sledging, snowshoeing, s’mores and hot chocolate.
Twin Parks Community League Winter Carnival
February 18 | Come enjoy some winter fun with wagon rides, skating, hockey, snow painting, and a visit from Edmonton Fire Rescue.
Family Day Fireworks Celebration in Meadowlark
February 18 | Enjoy winter fun with the Meadowlark Community League during their Family Day Fireworks Celebration. Event includes horse-drawn sleigh rides and food available for purchase, capped off by a fireworks show.
Family Day Fun Day + Movie Afternoon in Delwood
February 19 | Festivities include skating, tobogganing and hot chocolate, followed by a FREE showing of the movie Elemental in the Delwood Hall at 3:30 pm.
Family Day Festival at Rosslyn Community League
February 19 | Celebrate Family Day with skating, snacks, a scavenger hunt, tattoos, crafts, and door prizes.
Riverbend Community League Family Skate Fest
February 19 | Head to Brookside Rinks for skating, shinny hockey, winter activities, hot chocolate, cookies, and more.
Family Day Event with Milhurst Community League
February 19 | Join in a fun day of skating, outdoor curling, snowshoeing, kicksled races, hot chocolate and snacks, plus indoor games in the hall.
Annual Family Day Celebration with Delton Community League
February 19 | Enjoy horse & wagon rides and skating, then warm up around the fire with hot chocolate and hot dogs.
Skate with the Edmonton Oil Kings in Lago Lindo
February 24 | The Lago Lindo Community League and EPCOR are hosting a free public skate with music, treats, and special guests from the Edmonton Oil Kings hockey team!
Snow Much Fun Day at Belvedere
February 24 | Come for the spaghetti lunch, then enjoy an afternoon of fun including horse and wagon rides, skating, sledding, milk jug curling, snowy mini golf, snow spray painting, and more.
Balwin Winter Family Fun Day
February 24 | Join in the Balwin Community League’s winter celebrations including sledding, games, free hot dogs & cocoa around the bonfire, and fun with Choo Choo the Clown!
Glenora Community League Winter Carnival
February 24 | A full day of fun with skating, snow painting, snowshoeing, chili, marshmallows and bannock over the fire, maple taffy for purchase, and FIREWORKS at 6:45.
West Jasper Sherwood Community League Winter Festival
February 25 | Swing ‘N Skate with the Edmonton Arts Council and C-Jam Big Band, enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, a Cree dance group, bannock making, and the Sugar Shack serving up maple taffy.
South Clareview Community League Winter Family Fun Day
February 25 | Start your morning off with the $5 pancake breakfast ($20/family), then enjoy horse sleigh rides and skating.
Parkallen Snowfest
February 25 | Join the Parkallen Community League for sleigh rides, skating, sledding, family shinny, hot chocolate, prizes and more.
The Ridge Winter Festival
March 3 | Come out for a fun day filled with horse-drawn sleigh rides, outdoor games, milk-jug curling, snowshoeing, tobogganing, skating, and food trucks.
