Point Pleasant Park
This large ocean front park in the Sound End of Halifax offers many trails and shades of the season. It’s a great park to visit year round, but particularly beautiful in fall.
Africville Park
Located in the North End of Halifax along the Bedford Basin, Africville recently was designated as the first UNESCO Place of History and Memory linked to Enslavement and the Slave Trade. The park beside the museum offers picnic space and a playground, and great views of Halifax Harbour and McKay Bridge.
Sir Sandford Fleming Park
Trails run through the woods and along the Northwest Arm, leading to Sir Sandford Fleming Tower. If the tower is open for viewing, you can get an amazing 360 degree view of the local fall colors from above.
Shubanacadie Canal
Located in Dartmouth, this park contains historic canals and is nestled in between Lake Mic Mac and Lake Charles.
Hemlock Ravine Park
With forested trails or the Heard Shaped Pond as your backdrop, Hemlock Ravine Park offers great fall views just off the Bedford Highway.
