Christmas Tree Lightings
Nothing says the holidays quite like the majestically lit Christmas Tree. Santa is going to be busy helping to light all the trees in HRM, but if anyone can do it, it’s Santa! Join in the festive fun at these Tree Lighting Ceremonies. You can expect live music, loads of fun and, of course, lots of lights!

DELIGHTFUL DOWNTOWN | The only way to truly enjoy the holiday sights and sounds of Downtown Halifax is by bundling up and taking a stroll. DELIGHTFUL DOWNTOWN is a winter light program that includes vivid light shows, striking installations, and many illuminated areas throughout the Downtown core.
Evergreen Festival | The Evergreen Festival returns for another season and brings with it live entertainment and incredible light displays. The Festival’s Evergreen Bright is a walkable outdoor trail of twinkling holiday light displays and installations along the Halifax Waterfront.
Glow Gardens | Glow Gardens is back for another fantastic season of magic and entertainment for the whole family. Step inside this extravagant, multi-room installation and be transported into a world where your family’s imagination can run wild.
Halifax Public Gardens | Halifax Public Gardens is all aglow this holiday season with shining holiday lights! Take a nighttime stroll through the gardens to take in the festive scenery.
Lights of Dartmouth | Downtown Dartmouth is getting merry and bright with beautiful holiday lights and more at different downtown locations including Sullivan’s Pond and the Alderney Landing.
Shubenacadie Wildlife Park Holiday Night of Lights | They’re getting festive and lighting up the Wildlife Park! Everyone is welcome to take a stroll and visit the animals under the glow of lights, and enjoy family-friendly activities and seasonal fun.
Wolfville Glows | this is a month-long holiday celebration of fabulous festivities to celebrate the best of the holiday season.
Christmas Lights of Dartmouth – This Facebook page is dedicated to collecting the most spectacular Christmas lights on homes throughout HRM.
Anderson’s Christmas Lights Display – This home has become ‘Hali-Famous’ in Fall River. Their 3500 lights are choreographed to 4 different songs and are sure to get you in the holiday spirit.
Christmas lights on Connaught (at Jubilee) – The beautiful displays created by the Giacomantonio brothers are sure to wow throughout December! In addition to the two hugely festive homes, there are many other beautiful lights displays scattered in this area, especially Rosebank Avenue. This is what the holiday spirit is all about!
