Scotoberfest is coming to the Halifax Waterfront this October!

For three days, October 22nd-24th, Queen’s Marque and Historic Properties will be filled with Scottish-inspired food, drink, live music, family activities, movies, games, friendly competition, and laughs. Whether you come for the contests, the entertainment, or simply a great time by the water, Scotoberfest has something for the whole clan!

Aside from the closing-out Harbour Stein Party at the Lower Deck (19+), Scotoberfest activities are kid-friendly and FREE to participate in. Food & drink will be available for purchase. The Gathering Grounds, the heart of Scotoberfest, is an all-ages beer garden located in the Queen’s Marque Courtyard. They will have a delicious lineup of Scottish-inspired food and drink, plus live music and contests.

What Other Activities Are There For Kids?

Bairn’s Barn

Little Highlanders can enjoy a day of free family fun at The Bairns’ Barn, located in the Queen’s Marque near Cafe Lunette. Pick up Unicorn Fluff cotton candy, try your hand at archery, tackle the Castle Conquest challenge, get creative with colouring activities, or try to pin the horn on some of Scotland’s favourite creatures.

Scotoberfest Screens

Grab a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for a movie under the stars. Starting at 6:45 PM, enjoy The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep (PG), followed by Skyfall (PG-13) at 8:40 PM. Popcorn, snacks, and drinks will be available from the concession stand. Presented by Park Video.
