The Dartmouth Heritage Museum began with a small group of community members displaying local artifacts in two schools to promote awareness of the region’s heritage. This eventually led to the establishment of the museum in 1967 as a Canadian Centennial Project by the City of Dartmouth. The museum houses exhibits on the Halifax exploosion,the Victoian Era, Dr Helen Creighton, Joseph Howe, Quakers and more.
