Design a boat made from cardboard and duct tape only and compete against other participants in the Fun-DUCT-Raiser Duct Tape Boat Race! Registration for the event is by donation and pledges with all proceeds donated to the Long Lake Provincial Park Association and are used for yearly maintenance and upkeep of the park.
You can register online at www.funductraiser.org in any of the following categories:
• Family – ages 8 years and older
• Youth – ages 12 to 17
• Corporate/Community Groups
• Individual and teams – 8 years and older
Teams typically range between 2 and 4 people but can be as large as 6 per boat. Once registered, participants can pick up six free rolls of duct tape, generously donated by 3M Canada, at the POLYCORP head office (339 Herring Cove Road).
